Nintendo offered to exchange the disk and you should have done that. They probably shipped a faulty disk to Amazon, therefore they should have to deal with the additional costs.

It's bad for the buyer (I think he can exchange it, but that's bad for the shop). Maybe the shop can get a new disk from Nintendo.

And you paid more in the end because you had to trade in more games.
