If it had launched on every console, yes. But now it will happen with Titanfall 2.
It should push a good amount of 360 and Xbone hardware until the sequel is out, which will make TF2 all the bigger.
But it is exactly as you described. A breath of fresh air in a tired genre. And there is nothing else fresh on the horizon, barring maybe Destiny, which looks like ass to me personally.
