It is confirmed! See GameXplain's latest MK8 analysis where they zoom in on Sunshine Airport's billboard thing with track names from within the game on it!

I don't understand why you're in denial over this. Even if you didn't like those tracks initially, they're gonna get revamped in Mario Kart 8. Just look at N64 Rainbow Road. I despised the original track in MK64, but now it looks pretty awesome and I can't wait to race on it! ^_^
