Clearly it's Hogan. Recognition wise, I'd say the Rock and Austin are pretty equal. The Rock was certainly more quotable and was overall a better wrestler, but Austin had the stunner which is probably the most well known special move outside of Bret Hart's Sharpshooter.
Most of my experience comes from the pre-attitude era. Probably one of the last matches I watched was Bret Hart vs Bob Backlund, the sharpshooter vs the cross-face chicken-wing, in which Owen Hart convinced their parents sitting ringside to throw in the towel.
The wrestlers that stood out in that time were Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Razor Ramone, Lex Luger, Undertaker, Yokozuna, Million Dollar Man, 1-2-3 Kid, Tatanka. It was a pretty awesome era.
Some of my favorite moments were when hbk delivered a nice kick to the chin, or when razor ramone set up for his razor's edge. I fucking loved that move. I remember lex body-slamming yokozuna at summer slam, and also undertaker vs yoko in a "coffin match" was pretty epic.
I'm not sure what happened to make me drop off it. I think it changed to cable or something or just hit a really low point for a while.
