Microsoft's Xbox team is betting big on television. Xbox Entertainment Studios has committed to six original TV shows, including a "Halo" series from Stephen Spielberg. There are also more than a dozen projects in development. Why is Microsoft doing this? Bloomberg's Jon Erlichman got a peek inside LA-based Xbox Entertaiment Studios.
Xbox is following Netflix and Amazon in producing original TV shows through a unit called "Xbox Entertainment Studios." The Xbox team shared exclusive details with Bloomberg on a range of shows in the works -- from thrillers to live event coverage. Nancy Tellem, Microsoft's President of Entertainment and Digital Media, spoke with Bloomberg's Jon Erlichman.
