Do you guys abroad know where Birmingham, England is?

What's strange is that Birmingham has absolutely no recognition abroad for a city of this size.
I'm French and everyone here knows Liverpool and Manchester and most assume that Manchester is England's second largest city.

But I'm not sure if people in the UK know a lot about Lyon or Lille.
