And the same goes for Billiard. I credit it to the IOC being specially idiotic some 90 years ago rather than a compelling argument of why profissional gaming should be considered too.

It's easy and compelling to argue one must set a limit somewhere instead of working from analogy ad infinitum, otherwise we'll end up with keyboard typing, oral sex, mindless Guinness records etc. all being considered sports.
