Ok I've wanted to ask fellow ps4 owners this, and this is the perfect thread to do so. I have my wiiu and ps4 next to each other in my living room. I have a long hdmi cable that goes into my bedroom for gaming in the sack on my 55" bedroom LCD....

My wiiu game pad has no problem playing in my room, while the console is in the living room... However, my dual shock 4 has trouble from the same distance, with the console in the living room as well... Has any one else had this problem?

I expected the ps4 controller to be able to maintain a solid connection from further away than the wiiu pad, but it doesn't... My x360 controller never had this issue.. It's pissing me off, and is very disappointing..

There is only about 15 ft. From where they both are to the bedroom. Is my dual shock 4 the problem? I'd hate to buy another just to blow $60 on a new one that does the same thing. I appreciate any honest input from fellow owners... Thanks guys.

edit: x360 controller is my all time fav. But, since the dual shock 4 is physically larger than the ds3, it's a very good controller too. But, the 360 controller is better, as I like the left stick position better, but, the ds4 is now a very close second, and I have no real complaints about it. You get used to the stick position, but just prefer the stick to be in the place of the useless cross pad.

Think alot has to do with wall thickness and other electronics. Just to check against what you said, I can use my ps4 controller about 20ft away in my bedroom closest while my wiiu gamepad will start losing connection in my kitchen, maybe 12-15ft away and doesn't work at all from my bedroom. Luckily I don't have any need to play either in my bedroom.

Also the wiiu's wifi really annoys me, it drops connection randomly and I have to exit the browser, go to settings then exit settings to reset it. I've heard it's proximity to other systems but I have no wear else to put it on my tv stand :|

OT: I pick the DS4. I've never had issues with PS controllers. I like the xbox360 controller too minus the dpad so I imagine I'll enjoy the xb1 controller whenever I get one.

Yeah, but in my case its like for like. Wiiu and ps4 are two inches away from eachother in my living room, and i pkay them in my bedroom from the exact same distance. My wiiu pad never loses connection from there, but my ds4 is very spotty...same walls, same exact scenario, im just surprised. And dissapointed. Never had any other controller struggle like this... and i agree about the 360 d pad.. one of the worst ever.

None of my systems have ever had an issue with wifi. A top of the line router will take care of that for you.
