It is not desperation... MS wants to close the GAP in US no matter what.

In my opinion... they need that because outside US and maybe UK the war is over... so they needs to hold at least two markets this gen... I guess UK will be on PS4 side but I can see Xbone winning US with PS4 close or vice-versa.

Kind of like "the war" was over when 360 had a lead of some 8mn? PS4 will most likely win this generation but claiming win when not even a year has passed is very premature.

 

The only difference is that playstation is a global brand whereas the xbone's only chance of success lies within the walls of UK and US. To be frank i think UK is along its way to becoming playstation dominant again so only hope for xbone is US.
