I'm almost done with my first play through (finally!). King Vendrick looks depressing as fuck but is actually super easy, killed him on the first try without getting hit once, died on the final boss because I did not expect curses, kinda cheap if you ask me. Anyway I only have Darklurker and the final boss left to kill, will probably finish it this weekend.

Overall a good game, I especially like the inclusion of artificial difficulties such as the champions covenant and bonfire ascetics, I don't like the new soul memory system though, in Demon's Souls and Dark Souls level 100 -125 is considered to be the 'legit' range of builds, each character is unique because you cannot just max out every stat within these level limits, but if the match making in Dark Souls 2 are based on soul memories, then there really is no point in keeping your character within a certain level range, if you do you'll just end up facing opponents at much higher level, I understand From Soft doesn't want new players to get trolled by invaders with end game gears on low level characters, but it really kinda ruined pvp because now lots of people will have the exact same character with soft caps across all stats. oh well, I'm not a dedicated pvper so it doesn't matter that much to me, time will tell how the community adapts it.
