Like I wrote yesterday, hiring that talent, especially Swift, is a huge step in the right direction. That being said, I'm still not sold on the system. It has nothing to do with specs -- I'd buy an SNES-level system today if it supported great software -- it's the gut feeling that this set-top box will be a dumping ground for Android games with a few "prestige" games from people like Swift to sweeten the deal. As someone who owns a smartphone, a Smart TV, a computer, an Xbox, PS3, and WiiU, I see no need for this device if it won't support any "killer apps."

And I know it's still early in the game, but there's no evidence that Fire TV will host such games. That sizzle reel released yesterday wasn't impressive.
