Apps with malware has nothing to do with the stability of an OS.
Android is better than WP8 and iOS because it's open source, but better still would be a true Linux phone, not a Googlelinux. Perhaps Tizen is the next stepping stone for open source OS, but it's still being controlled by a corporate so it's not that much of an improvement. But still I'm happy for an open source OS to be dominant and I hope one day that translates to PC being dominated by open source OSs. Perhaps the Steam Machine will help drive this, because so many more games will have a Linux version.
