OK now dont get me wrong I love Nintendo, I have had every console they ever realesed (even the Virtua Boy god bless his migraine inducing cotton socks) but I am getting so very F***** Off by the polarity of opinion that we all seem to be suffering from at the moment. Yes Mario is a Classic, I love Zelda far more than my wife, and samus seems seems to be taking up half of my pornography collection. Which means I see her way more than my wife. Or my girl friend, or the cute transexual who lives down the street and smiles at me and invites me it to his/ her's house every time I go to the shop for some coffee.
BUT!!!!!!! Looking back I love and miss Qazatron, Jet Strike, Strangers Wrath, Project Slpheed, Alien Breed (Tower Assault), Escape from Butchers Bay, Blast Corps, Snake Rattle n' Roll even f****** Gun Fright for F*** Sake.
Now I'm not saying that the percieved 'classics' are not with out merit, in fact i have probably played and loved most (All) of them but why is there so little originality among the games we worship. Mario Kart is a sublime expeience but so was Worms. Mario and The Great Giana Sisters (for 2 weeks at least), R Type against Microcosm, Street Fighter Or Rise of The robots ;).
OK then Gauntlet or Chaos Engine
What about Sensi, Speed Ball, Attik Attak,even Paradroid or Saburwulf.
Every game a classic but never mentioned. Cummon people lets not forget why we fell in love with gaming in the first place.

Tell me/us those lost treasures that you still wish you hadn't jilted at the church. For me my undying love is and all ways will be Jet Strike, the largest hardest game ever created.
