PS : If running your own store you were paying 48 to 52$ per game I have no issue at all believing companies like Best Buy or Gamestop can get them for 40$ or lower.( Best Buy is in a much better position to negotiate price and when you see a stand for a game in the middle of an alley it was actually paid for by the game distributor, not by Best Buy).
PS2 : Gamestop makes money of new games, the issue is they make a lot more of used games so it's not in their interest at all to stock a lot of new games....

That's what I said, though not in those same words. I had to deal with a distributor, who probably had a supplier that dealt with Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo. Big chains like BB, Walmart probably deal with Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo directly.
