This can't be proven because most (if not all) next gen games released in 2013 that were also on last gen were outsold hugely but last gen consoles, yet while there have only been 3 games released this year on both Last and Next gen which can be compared, out of those 3, 2 had higher sales on Next gen.

I understand your reasoning but that is no reason to belittle the 360 version and those customers to promote something they can't afford. Establishing a good relationship now for the game will help boost sales when the sequal is release only on Next gen.
