Gameplay and story wise it really is a big step down. It kinda looks like it was quite rushed and they had to think of the side missions last minute.

In what way was it a big step down gameplay wise? :/ I agree the side mission content was a let down, but i can't think of anything about the gameplay that was worse than 2. I'd say the gameplay was improved even more than the visuals were.

The boring side missions in a boring city with boring characters and a boring story don't really do anything better than Infamous 2 which had very fun side quests, interesting Characters, an engaging Story and a hell lot more interesting and divers city. Not saying that I didn't have fun with it but it doesn't really beat Infamos 2 in anything but graphics.
