Hmm. On the german eShop there is "on Sale" button right at the top... . But there could be also some "human factor" behind this odd behaviour of the eShop at that time...

 

Touche.  Perhaps I overlooked it at the time.  I know I always check the "Price drop" or whatever it's called when I log into the eShop.  I saw MH3 on sale on 3DS's eShop and I figured I'd check the Wii U game to see if it was also on sale.  Can't say with 100% certainty if I made a mistake, though.  Even as it stands, looking for a game that's not on the home page is a chore.
