For one thing, I think it was always half-joking.

For another, personally, I still miss the days when you'd say the term "PC Gaming", and that actually meant something, because PC Gaming was something totally different and separate, outside of a few ports here and there, from console gaming. And that was great, because then you had both gaming worlds to enjoy.

Nowadays, it honestly seems like over half the people that claim to be "PC Gamers", simply mean that they play ports of console games on Steam, mostly likely with a controller even. Not the same thing, and not genuinely a "PC Gamer", by a longshot.

Me personally? While I have enjoyed many of the classic PC games back in the day, I've also always just preferred to play games on a game console, relaxing in front of a TV.
