| Anfebious said: You all heard millions of times that PC gamers are suppossed to be the master race right? Well I'm here to defy that notion and open your eyes to the truth people. The notion that there is a master race within the PC race is correct though. What do I mean by this? Well there is no "PC master race" but another kind of race within it. It's called "Rich people". If PC gaming truly was the master race then everyone who had a PC would be able to enjoy the benefits of it. But there is no such thing as that in the PC realm. That realm is reigned by money, and the one who pays the most is the guy who enjoys the most. So, to experience a "full power PC" we would have to make a great investment. That automatically takes out a big portion of the PC userbase out of it, because not everyone is willing to spend money on that and not everyone has the money to spend on that kind of thing. So you see, having a PC doesn't make you "Master Race". I have one, and it lacks audio, even league of legends runs at 15 FPS in this piece of shit. In the end the true master race in gaming is "rich people". Not only these people can afford a PC, but they can also afford multiple gaming consoles. I think it's pretty clear who is the real "master race" |
I have a 2008 PC that cost me 600 (just because of fancy LED power supply with detachable cords and fancy LED case with window and more stuff noone needs like MUGEN CPU cooler and 5 case fans and custom GPU cooler and whatnot) and I can still play every game in 1080p at ultra/high)
Its less "rich people" and more "build it yourself because you know what you are doing people"
I can do 1000x more things with a PC than I can do with a console (photoshop etc.) and dont forget that you can make the games better by modding them they also are cheaper on PC (lets say I would buy games day1 - which I would never do with third party games btw- when I buy 20 games for 50 bucks on PC compared to 60 on console I already saved 200 bucks. In theory my $600€ PC now just costs $400€. Waiting a year or so for the games to drop to $5-10€ makes it even better.)
So again its not really a "rich people" more of a "not so convenient/lazy people" thing.
I mean how many people say "I want to play games with a controller while sitting on my couch in front of my TV" ?
Well I am exactly doing this with my PC because I could be bothered to connect my PC to my TV and buy a "$5€-xbox360-receiver-for-pc-knockoff" from china.
And my PC also just has HDMI and Powercord sticking out of it so no cable tangle at all.
