Euphoria14's post made me think of another aspect: Kids.
Kids love to watch their favorite movies over and over again. (They've been trained by shows like teletubies to say "again" at the end of a clip ;) ) You could not do that with a time limited download. Ask a parent how many times their 4-6yo has watched their favorite movie.
