Money is no object to me when it comes to my hardare. I go for performance and not price/performance ratio. Sure, I have my limits but those seem to be a bit higher than most. You can preach all day long how great some things are considering price but that doesn't make them any stronger. A few bucks on my table don't move the pixels on my screen faster. I will definitely go for an 880(or 880ti if available) next time around. Why would I buy weaker if I have the money? |
Because that 10% makes no difference, and anyone who is good with money knows that. The Titan for example is the definition of the dumbest thing I have ever seen. When it released it was only 30-40% stronger than the 7970 GHz, and yet cost 3x as much. On top of that, 3-way 7970 Crossfire pretty much tied 3-way Titan SLI. Paying the most for an extra 5% just proves you are bad with money. Period.
P.S. The strongest aftermarket 670 is stronger than the strongest aftermarket 680. Look it up, MSI overclocked a variation of the 670 lightning so much that not even an overclocked 680 could reach it (And there are 7950's that do the same thing).
Prediction for console Lifetime sales:
Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million
[Prediction Made 11/5/2009]
3DS: 65m, PSV: 22m, Wii U: 18-22m, PS4: 80-120m, X1: 35-55m
I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.
