while the xbone has official DX12 support it will help short term but ultimately anything that can be done with dx12 on the xbone can be done on PS4. Of course official DX12 support makes certain things easier.
But as PS4 has more horsepower no ifs ands or buts it will never fully dissapear. eventually all games on both systems could hit 1080p 60fps locked. at that point its all about IQ.
