 I don't like the skins in general, but to be honest latest Sense versions are just light years ahead of Touchwiz in both stability and speed. HTC really stepped up their game in both software and hardware. Touchwiz is just giving Android a bad name.

I have an HTC One (2013) and it's pretty stable, I still get random crashes every week or two though. I agree that it's years ahead of Samsung's abomination, but stock Kit Kat is easily the best.
