I'm afraid age and maturity have nothing to do with your personal taste and choice.
A mature person doesnt feel the need to prove to others that he/she is mature. Especially not making a thread in the internet claiming support for his change of interests. Those things happen in life. You dont need to be young or old for it to happen.
