The 3rd parties depend mostly on Sony since they sell their games more on PS, followed by a close second place to XB and then a distant by PC and then Nintendo at last. That being said, both Xbox and Playstation are the pillars to videogame industry as an independent one at that.
That is the reason I can't see both, XB and PS, being sold or whatever, mainly because they ARE essential to the whole industry atm, with practically no competitors. Let's be frank, Nintendo relies on their games and the PC wouldn't see any AAA games if they weren't made for consoles first. ~except some FPSs~
And to resume, no, PS is not for sale since it's one of the most profitable divisions of Sony and one that the whole industry relies on.
