What would happen if PlayStation branched off from Sony?

It seems pretty unlikely it would becomes a shadow of its former self at the same time it was started to thrive again :P

In fairness though, many people believed the PS3 would be their last console, so i suppose the doom predictions being reduced to "a shadow of its former self" is a pretty good sign for their future ^^

I believeby 2017 Sony wil have 1/3rd less sttudios and alot of the talent ( which is already happeing ) will go elsewhere. All at a time MS are creating more studios and hiring more staff. Microsot will release an have more exclusives regularly by 2017. They will simply have more projects ad more deveopers.
They are already hiring employees leaving Sony.
