Speaking for myself and myself, only--I got an Xbox 360 in '07 and a PS3 in '08. I will openly acknowlege that Sony has more exclusives and if those exclusives are your cup of tea, than enjoy them. I'm the kind of gamer that buys whatever gets my attention without fail. That's why the free PS+ and GWG sales mean nothing to me. I already have what I want.
Now my tastes don't equal the majority and diversity is a good thing. I just know that when I look at my Xbox 360 and PS3 libraries side by side, there's waaaaaay more games that I own for 360 that aren't playable on PS3 in any form (including games shared w/ PC like Splinter Cell Conviction) than there are PS3 games that aren't playable on 360 in any form. Can't speak for the world because, at the end of the day, I play what I want to play and that's all that matters.
I hear about the amazing PS3 exclusives and I own most of what people would consider the best (LBP1 and 2, Uncharted 1-3, Heavy Rain, Valkyria Chronicles, God of War, Heavy Rain, etc.). Some times they lived up to the hype for me. Other times, I was greatly disappointed (Killzone 3 was one of the few times out of HUNDREDS of 7th gen purchases where I've traded in a game at Gamestop--and I didn't even finish it!). Whatever rings your bell.
Off topic: I just wonder why forums always speak of franchise fatigue when it comes to Gears, Fable, Forza, and Halo or Mario and Zelda and never when it came to Resistance, Killzone, Uncharted, LBP. I always welcome a good game on any platform with open arms.
