Thanks to the erratic nature of when Wii shipments arrive, coupled with semi-erratic 360 shipments, the sales percentage rates per week have actually been all over the place, but ultimately average out rather close to the current market share. To wit:
| Wii % | PS3 % | X360 % |
| 50.61% | 28.68% | 20.71% |
| 39.51% | 34.25% | 26.24% |
| 47.78% | 31.36% | 20.86% |
| 51.07% | 29.71% | 19.22% |
| 52.91% | 29.62% | 17.47% |
| 56.99% | 24.73% | 18.28% |
| 42.89% | 33.60% | 23.51% |
| 42.98% | 33.20% | 23.82% |
| 53.09% | 25.30% | 21.61% |
| 39.64% | 34.33% | 26.04% |
| 46.19% | 28.44% | 25.36% |
|
Which levies out to 48.46% Wii, 29.84% PS3, and 21.69% 360, when dealing with the actual hardware sales for the year compared to one another.
As you can see, the year-long market share is shifting, but it's shifting from the 360 to favor the PS3 faster than it's shifting from the 360 to favor the Wii. The ultimate side-effect of this is that the Wii appears to be keeping a consistent market share while the PS3 appears to slowly be gaining market share, which is true in the larger picture. In the year-over-year picture, the Wii is still gaining market share, and the PS3 is gaining market share a bit faster than it. Whether or not this will hold up after the end of the fiscal year is doubtful, however. As the week-over-week percentages show, it can fluctuate madly.
