I never really got drawn into the hype for Grand Theft Auto and so saw all of its flaws. From a technical perspective it was a very impressive game, but that is all I can really say for it as I found it incredibly boring. The gameplay was VERY sloppy and the story was mediocre at best. I sold the game after playing it for about a week so never got to experience the online segment of the game, but I didn't want to after playing the single player.
Personally, I would go for a 7/10 and that is purely because of what Rockstar achieved on the hardware available. If I wasn't taking that into account I woudl score it roughly 5.5-6/10.
