If they took the large battles from the first game (like the start of Manchester or stuff in London) with lots of enemies and friendlies fighting, increased the scale, increased the frequency of these battles, and made them much more badass..... I would be very pleased.
Resistance wasn't a bad game, but the large battles were the highlights of my experience with it becuase there were lots of things going on at a time.
