Sony isn't making price cuts or bundling games for a reason, it's still selling out. This will help XB1, and maybe give it an edge in USA/UK for March, but only because PS4 stock is still limited. Once April comes around and PS4 stock is up, XB1 has no hope.

P.S. I wonder how much of an impact Mario Kart 8 will have for the WiiU

Is Sony competing with Microsoft?  Of course, but I think with the PS4, they are trying to set a worldwide precedent which in turn will all them to compete better with the Xbox One as opposed to primarily trying to focus shipment allocations to just the territories the Xbox name brand has been doing well just to out sell the Xbox One in those particular territories.  I see that as long as the PS4 is in high demand in most of the world market it's in, Sony is going to ship PS4 as needed as fairly as possible without having to work about outselling the Xbox One in the US and UK.

What's your point? USA is getting shipments in April. Chances are they will sell out fast, and the shortage will continue, but XB1's sales aren't going anywhere so it's enough to continue outselling it.

This price cut and Titanfall release will only help the XB1 for a week or two. After that sales will drop back, even with the $50 price cut. I don't think people are waiting on PS4's and not buying XB1's because of a $100 (now $50) price difference. People want the PS4 because it has more qualities that gamers want, simple as that.

My point is that it doesn't matter whether Sony ships more PS4 units to the US to outsell the Xbox One there or they ship worldwide as needed, the PS4 will be selling out for a while in the foreseeable future.
