Recent pricedrops have lowered the XBO to $450 with a free $60 game bundled. That basically puts its value at $390, ten bucks cheaper than the PS4. Will this improved value lead to XBO taking the lead in March NPD, or will PS4 continue its winning streak?

I'm sure it's been already pointed out a billion times but, you cant do this.

Even though the average consumer should realize "I have to buy a game with my PS4 anyway", for whatever reason, the brain just doesn't process like that.

A good way to tell is imagine a $399 Xbox One vs a $450 Xbox One with a pack in game, which will sell more? The former, by a long shot. Heck, people flocked to a short lived Amazon deal on 399 Xbox One.

Or you can look at it for PS4 as well, there are already 399 PS4 and $450 PS4 game bundles available, which sell better? The unbundled console, again by a mile. In fact they're usually reffered to as "forced" bundles.

Of course one issue is not everybody may like the pack in game, and you're not given a choice. Another thing is you can buy a PS4 or XO and play Resogun, KI, or other F2P stuff (especially on PS4) and be happy until something you really want comes along in the fall. That was my original plan with XO. I wasn't planning on getting a game with it (before the pack in's started)
