Could be a valid point for some.  Anecdotally, I know a handful of people in real life who have said that they ultimately went with an Xbox 360 because they had a fair amount of friends who were online with their Xbox 360s.  It seems to more of this case this gen with the PS4 ouselling the Xbox One.


With that logic, consider that the gap between PS4 and X1 is primiarly to be found in Europe, and they are much closer in the US. So neither side has a runaway advantage in the US in terms of 'peer platform' choice.
