The virtual boy had all its processing power inside the googles themselfs which made it heavy and uncomfortable. If Nintendo wants to take on VR they need to make it like th Wii U pad having a box ( more powerful then PS4 to get the necessary frames) and wireless transmission to the VR Headset with very little latency their tech for the Wii U pad would actually be perfect for this. But the cost of such a system including the VR goggles would be high next gen with better Chips it might be feasible to get a VR system out for 499 right now its not possible to do it for a mass market price. Nintendo would have to really focus on that to make it a big hit I doubt they will dump Billions in a new VR system before Oculus/Sony have proven that there is a big market for it.
I would definetly buy it tho.
