They will need to achieve a perfect performance for the price point. That will be very difficult, lcd or oled, features, performance, size and weight etc.. They will have to hit the mark pretty much straight on to gain mass sales.

They also need an amazing launch game. I'm not paying $250-350 to play the same old games with some head tracking tacked on. They truly need a new type of experience for the consumer.

I got to use my first VR headset back in 95 or 96. For graphics for the simulation were laughable by today's standard. I believe the polygon count had to be somewhere in the high teens. But, there was definitely a level of immersion that exceeds playing on a flat monitor screen.

Love my PS4, no doubt will be a very big success for Sony. I'm still very much on the fence concerning Morpheus. I'm kind of doubtful that it will really be a "must have" for most gamers.

If I were Sony I would bring out the Morpheus. Secretly fund a super impressive sex simulator and leak it all over the internet. Then come out and publicly lament the fact it exists and try to get it taken down. I bet that alone would shift a few million units.
