Nintendo cut the price 50$/ €  around August 2013 .

And no, 450$ is still too much for mass market success in this day and age for an objectively inferior system.

Most objective people would consider it as having a superior OS, superior online capabilities, and superior accessories... So to call in an 'objectively inferior system' isn't very... objective.
