The price is the key for Nintendo, to have the cheapest available console. But since both the PS3 and X360 are still pretty popular(and cheaper) I think this is where the Wii U are losing some(or most?) of its market, to be honest.

Even though I love my Wii U and Nintendo's games, the PS3(if you didn't have it already) is a much better buy than the Wii U. And as Sony will continue to support the PS3 for a couple of more years so there will be more great games for it to come.

And we can even see that the PS3 is still outselling the Wii U. It's not good for Nintendo at all.

If Nintendo still could make money from Wii U with games sales and stuff, if they reduced the price with -€100, so the Wii U would be less expensive than the PS3, and perhaps bundle it with one or two great games, I honestly think they should. It would make it sell more for sure. But I don't think they would break even. :(
