The guy didn't wanna talk about how he fucks his bf, but to share his story of coming out. In other words, the issue here is not dicussing one's actual sex life, but their sexual preference.  No one will judge, bully, disown, hurt you for dating a girl. The same won't happen for many gay people around the world (even in America). Being gay is not just about sex; it's mostly about attraction. Big difference. 

Again, if they guy wanted to talk about sex, then you'd have a point. He wants to talk about something completely different. The process of coming out. Whether you think that being gay doesn't matter (and I applaud you for that), it does not mean that the rest of the world sees it your way. So, until people stop judging and discriminating against gay people, these coming out stories are needed. Not so much for the straight people, but for those who struggle with their sexuality and need some emotional support.

You must not have read what I said then. I have no issue with him living his life the way he chooses.

 

However, he decides to share a story of his sexual preference. Why are we supposed to care? Please, by all means, answer this. Why should anyone care?

You want to tell people you like men and are a man? Good for you. Keep that shit to yourself.

You want to tell people you like women and are a woman? Good for you. Keep that shit to yourself.

 

The world does not need to know. It does not need to be be to this big media deal where eveyone needs to know your sexual prefererence.

People make their own choices. Deal with it and stop acting as if the world owes you some sort of of favor.

 

Just live your life and stop searching for attention, because at this point that is exactly what it seems to be... a seach for attention.

 

Disagree with me, that's fine. That is just how I view it from my personal experience.

I don't get how you say that I didn't read your part, when the question you just asked "Should I honestly give a shit?" is clearly answered. This is not about you or even him, but people who need this kind of support. Women who are afraid to be with other women because they feel they might be rejected by society. It might happen, but his story is telling those people that it's not always the case. 

But, as you pointed out we obviously disagree on this matter and everyone is entitled to their own opinion, so I'll drop it here.
