You usually get a console day 1 because
#4 you have to much money and are to bad of a person to donate something to the poor
#3 you like to look at things instead of using them
#2 you are a "gambler" you like risks and therefore you want to be a guinea pig for unrealiable hardware
#1 you want to feel cool by doing the same thing other people do. Things that are IN right now.
#Bonus you like to call yourself a gamer but just own 1-10 games on your old system you ignore the great library of the old console or its competition on purpose because you love to play mainstream games only.
(Alot of people I know did this "oh cool Fifa on PS4. I have to pay a fee for online and I have to buy a new system for it but it looks 1% better compared to the PS3 version LETS DO IT!")
