Sony for its somewhat fair business practices for gaming. 3rd can publish a wide range of games, publish on other consoles, Sony doesn't take too much on that
Nintendo domination during 8-16 bits area came with so much rules and unfair practices (like prohibitive manufacture costs, strict control of content : blood, s*x, religion, etc., exclusivity, tight control of game companies).
Microsoft with just a successful but not dominant console (xbox 360) was already going full war out with DRM, control of indies publication, 3rd exclusive by money only. And the company has quite an historic of unfair monopolistic practices (windows/IE/word).
Sony so far doesn't do that. They enjoyed 2 generations of massive domination and didn't put so much effort to build an unfair and monopolistic market. Perhaps they are not clever or rich enough, but I don't think so, and anyway Sony is essential to preserve competition in console gaming.
