1) Its a proven fact by Psychology that people need to rationalise and justify their purchase decision to achieve cognitive balance. I have a Degree on Marketing, i know what i'm talking about.
2) I never said there wasnt, i said people feel the need to rationalise their purchase decisions and thus give it importance. These people beeing the vocal people in the internet (these are the ones we are talking about, not the AVERAGE consumer as you put it. Those obviously dont even know what resolution these numbers mean). Though i firmly believe 60fps will benefit any game.
3) Alot depends on that, so its not necessarely true.
