Well that was rather insightful. Didn't really expect it from you lol. Still I find them usefull to have around to see the general consensus from a multitude of opinions before spending the cash on the product.  Especially ones that I'm unsure about.

but yes, reviews, and usually metacritic, tend to provide the general consensus of the game. but how are these scores determined? how does a reviewer decide if a game is an 88 or an 89? on what basis?  they all hide behind "its just my personal opinion". but then how is a score of a 9 from mark valued as the same as a 9 from steve or john? if everybody scores differently and see's games differently, then how do we use the same metric on all their scores?
