Aside from AMD having some serious problems on the linux side Nvidia still needs some improvements too but DRIVERS ALONE will NOT PUSH developer to make their game engines support OpenGL. 

I keep hearing how about how linux is all about good will but THAT is half assed compared to windows. 


You are loling because you are focused on "games" only, look outside that scope and you will see a much bigger things that might happen and that'd be a really good thing. You are thinking way too small.
