Probably true since the prices didn't drop when the CAD was over the USD for a far longer period than the sudden drop in the last two months. It is simple to understand, in one case they lose money, so they raise the prices, in the other case they make more money keeping it at the same price... As long as it is selling, we won't see a price drop. The goverment tried to make some pressure on the corporations to ajust the prices according to the value of the CAD, but the goverment initiative (quite limited) died fast.
