But it isn't Metacritics job to decide who is trustworthy or not. That's for the player to decide. Everybody has there couple of sources that they trust and a couple of sources they know they don't. It's not just based on bias but on how a typical publication reviews a certain type of game.
A person may like IGN because they find that IGN reviews games in a way that lines up with how the person feels. Another person could trust Eurogamer for the same reason while not trusting IGN at all.
Metacritic is supposed to be nothing more than a collection or reviews with a statistial average slapped on top to give a general idea on how the game is reviewed.
