Konami have simply concluded that for a game like MGS4, the hardcore will pay what they have too, and as the system has no casuals, they don't have to worry about it until the userbase expands and then they'll drop the price.

In case you didn't know why I said that it because of "it is safe to assume that 99.9% of the fanbase is hardcore", assume? Beleive what you want in your little fanboy haven. I thought I didn't have to point that out because I think it's as clear as day and probably ever other member does too. Take off the fanboy shutters. Even a monkey if thought to read could notice that.
