LOL at the people that actually think there is a conspiracy. I'm going to ask again and once again just hear crickets. Why would EA and Respawn, the creators and publisher of the game, purposely withhold a game from a massive install base?
The reason for the delay is simple. When Respawn/EA partnered with MS on this exclusive, PC/Xbox One became the lead in the development. We know this as fact because Xbox One wasn't in the picture until late in the game. Respawn has talked about this. Once Xbox One did come on board, Respawn, a very tiny studio, didn't have the manpower to continue work on the 360 version, so EA provided one of their studios, Bluepoint, to takeover the 360 version. Imagine being a developer and very late in the game getting thrown into the development of a port. This is simply what's going on.
And furthermore, even if you were to believe MS was somehow behind it, it makes no sense because they want the game to be successful. They want tons of copies across the board sold because it gives them better leverage for any future exclusive agreements. Yes, maybe it helps them sell a few more Xbox One systems, but it's pretty obvious they'd love to lock the entire franchise into an exclusive agreement. Limiting the sales from 360 doesn't help the overall sales for Respawn, which would ultimately make them more comfortable as an exclusive married to MS if lots of copies were sold across the board.
