Its strange how you said it gave you a NES feeling, because I had a similar feeling. It felt reminiscent of the metal gear MSX games somehow to me.
This game is great, definitely worth the 20 dollars I paid for it on ps3. I just beat all the side ops (except Deja Vu) and that took me about 5-6 hours because I never kill enemies in mgs games. I haven't even started collecting all the stuff yet which will take a very long time.
How do you feel about the gameplay in comparison to other mgs games? I think they made it a lot more accessible and simpler to pull off things you could do in the older games like knocking out guys and clinging to walls.
