Yep, TP and SMG are the reasons I bought a Wii. I really don't care much about most of the other offerings for the system but I won't deny that Super Smash Bros. will be huge for the system.
Though I think that many people here are overrating the MP series. While they're good games, they're not in the same league of sales as TLZ, SMG, and SSB. |
Yep, absolutely true, another example of what I'm talking about. The same is true of God of War, which has even lower sales than Metroid Prime despite being on a larger system.
Again, this isn't even totally about quality of games: both of those games got very good reviews, with Metroid Prime being put in the top 10 games in history by MetaCritic. It's about objective reality against what you personally prefer.
Do you love love love Metroid Prime? No problem! Just recognize that not everyone else does, as the sales verify.
