What do you expect.....it is the 9th year of the console. The Last of Us released in PS3's 7th year......I am VERY curious to see what PS3 releases are like in its 9th year in 2015 to contrast with the games I listed.

The fact of the matter is that the games that are 3rd party, are not coming to PS3, which in itself deserves a mention. Ports or not, Titanfall and Project Spark are high profile for Xbox and it would certainly give it an edge over whatever PS3 has going for it this year.

The age of the console is not relevant in the context of the future now, because we have new variables. I expect the PS3's support to wain considerably now because it's successor has been released. That would happened regardless to if it was in its 5th year or 15th. But for the sake of argument, let's compare the PS3's 2013 to 360's 2012 (age wise, the same year for both).

Sony's 1st party AAA games: Beyond: Two Souls, The Last of Us, Puppeteer, God of War: Ascensions, Gran Turismo 6, MLB:13, Sly Cooper 4.

MS's 1st party AAA games: Halo 4, Forza Horizon, Fable: The Journy (lol).

This is of course all without considering the amazing "true" exclusive support the PS3 had last year (Ni No Kuni, Tales of Xillia, Ratchet & Clank etc).

MS have done an excellent job with supporting XBL, but when it comes to proper big titles for the 360 they and been far from good.
